Ken’s Approach

Therapy and Counseling Kirkland, Bellevue, and the Eastside

Experience counts…

Ken Drummy, LICSW, is a licensed social worker with more than 30 years of experience in counseling individuals, couples, teens, children and families. In a safe, confidential environment Ken helps you examine those aspects of your life that are not working for you and assists you in developing solutions to those problems.

Finding what works best…

Clients, peers, and other healthcare professionals see Ken as particularly gifted in his ability to utilize different approaches that best fit specific clients and their issues. He is not locked into one methodology or approach, but rather, very skilled at working with each individual situation to find what works best.

Even if counseling has not worked before…

Ken generates breakthroughs and helps clients who have previously had only so-so experiences in therapy or counseling. Ken’s sincere, direct approach allows you to make the necessary changes in your life within a short period of time.

You’ve been there I’m sure, but perhaps not as often as you would like? Have you ever felt lonely when you have been with others? Perhaps you believe that happiness and contentment are emotions that others get to enjoy but not you? Or that happiness always goes away and you are left feeling more dissatisfied than satisfied? Common emotional problems such as depression, chronic anger and stress, anxiety, and self-esteem issues, among others, can be signs that some relationships in your life may have stopped playing the role they need to play in order to maintain your emotional well-being. Or maybe you are just afraid or too unsure of taking the risks to let others really know who you are – or to even have relationships in your life?

It has been said that one’s relationships hold the key to feelings of contentment and success in life. Perhaps your relationships, be they with a spouse, significant other, son or daughter, a relative or even a good friend have caused you to wonder if there isn’t something more you need to know or consider doing in this vital area. Our relationships can either enrich our lives adding more joy, love and contentment or leave us feeling unloved, unwanted, sad, fearful, or angry. Wouldn’t it be a relief to be working with someone who knew how to help you get yourself and your relationships back on track?

I have been in private practice for over 30 years helping people, just like you, to reconnect with their strengths and create new sources of fulfillment and happiness – to live a life that really supports who you are!

It is also important for you to have the sense that I am working with you and for you to effectively address your concerns and help you create a set of goals that solve the problems you need solved. We can work together and I will individualize my therapeutic approach to fit your needs to more quickly reach the outcomes you desire.

I look forward to talking to you and, if it feels like a good fit for you, beginning our work together. Happiness is a natural state that you deserve.
